Beyond the classroom, Bengkulu unfolded through experience. Walking through the cool, misty hills of the Kepahiang tea plantation offered a moment of stillness and reflection, where nature’s rhythm set the pace of life. The historic walls of Fort Marlborough stood as silent witnesses to centuries of encounter, conflict, and exchange, reminding me that Bengkulu’s past continues to shape its present. A simple lunch at Pasir Panjang beach with the sound of waves and the vast horizon ahead, captured the quiet beauty of everyday life along the coast.Above all, this journey was defined by the warmth and generosity of the people of Bengkulu.
